Why did they do that? Did they get sued?

Doubt it. Nick probably just requested them to remove them.

they could sue only if the site refuse to atend to their request it would be copyright infrigment.

its like this kid,you can have your own home page, and include all videos of porn,cartoon, and movies you want, but IF one of the them request you to remove their product you have to comply,but you can keep the rest as long as no one else complain, or....you can host it on a country that has no afiliation with the united states 😄
