For example, men are always portrayed as heroes in the movies and television while women are always portrayed as the person in peril. It is not always like that in real life though.

My writing class is talking about how the media affects gender though. So I have to write about how the media tells women now-a-days that if you aren't 110 lbs and look like a super model you aren't sexy. And tells men that if they aren't rich and have 6 pack abs they can't find a woman. Along with the other bullshit the media spews out about how people should look. Look around you tomorrow and tell me if everyone looks like the people in the magazines and in the movies. mhm
