without the gem - Adam Warlock is on the very low-end of the herald spectrum. In fact, he probably isn't even a herald without it

Adam takes it 7/10 - and I'm being generous for warlock

Until recently I would have said Black Adam won this easily ... in the last few weeks I've had to look at a lot more of Warlock's feats (with and without the gem) and it seems that handling top level bricks is no problem for him.

warlock without the gen was school by hercules who is not a herald level character but rather a top tier

Before Warlock had the gem, he was rolling with the Xmen and the like.

he really doesn't have that many feats without the gem - especially ones that have him beating herald-level beings

I took a glance at the respect thread for Warlock - he has a lot of old feats from when he was Him, but I didn't see anything that automatically made him above heralds.

Most of Warlock's impressive feats involved astute strategy and intelligence, not power.

Right. But that doesn't mean he's devoid of power. He's thrown down with Drax in a fist fight, and has been able to hold his own with plenty of higher-level people. Mephisto and Quasar come to mind....he's like 3-0 against Quasar, which I find amusing.

And he retained the telekinesis that made him so uber as Him. So yeah, he's in a different body and all, but his power set is, if anything, more impressive than the Him era.

I dunno. Black Adam would be a good fight for him. But it's not a curbstomp and Warlock would make it insanely difficult every time.

Besides, are we using only low showings? Not that Herc's a low showing...he's as good in a brawl as many "cosmic" types. He just loses out because of lack of versatility. But if you fight him dumb, a lot more powerful people could potentially lose to him.

Speed is not on Warlocks side neither is reaction time. Oh, neither is strength.

Warlock is still pretty uber without the soulgem.
