It has nothing to do with seniority. A couple members started social threads in their first few months and they're doing just fine. It's all about attitude. Of which you have a really, really bad one.

I started a social group. See, that's what you don't understand. It's a difference. It's not about attitude. I simply don't know anybody and my motives are unknown so people will worry. Even when my motives are clear, accusation is still the open response. It's how humans react to things. If Vinny or someone else seemingly popular or someone who knew everyone tried to start this, it would be a success. Can you see where I'm trying to come from?

I have no doubt that if Vinny started a group exactly like yours, he would be criticized by several people, just like you were. The thing is, Vinny doesn't subscribe to cliques, nor would he start one, so that's a moot point anyway.

Your doubt is irrelevant. You can't prove the outcome of what would happen if him or someone else well known made a group. The logical conclusion is it would receive better response because more people know him and the way he approaches things. Me? No one knows me so I'm simply not trusted with making a group so people make assumptions, come to conclusions and bring their hammers down. Simple.
