Yeah but Apollo works like a battery he needs to be chargered and I doubt he was fully "charged" when Midnighter layed the beatdown on him.

It really makes no difference in the end. When you consider that Apollo fully charged has enough energy to make the moon glow as brightly as the sun, a small percentage is going to still pack the force of a LARGE nuke, which should be more than a match for Midnighter. Yet M.N. still beat the shit out of him.
