Ok, here's one: The name, Alan Smithee, is used to signal in the entertainment business when a director, creator, etc, does not want to be associated or credited with a project. It's a pseudonym usually taken to mean that the studio or producers messed with the film and that it should not be taken to reflect on the creator.
