never saw the context only the result.

He was basically dying from having that energy from the Heroes Reborn universe break down his body. His durability was pretty low at times, seeing that Deadpool even managed to stab him with an ordinary knife.

yeahhhhhhhhhh right normal hulk would lose get over your apoc hatred but it would be cool to see world war hulk vs a none jobbing apoc

Apoc can detach his head from his body, hulk can grab and split him in two and it doesn't accomplish anything, except tire the hulk out.

Apoc just has to morph into a seemingly defeated looking state. Hulk goes away, calms his rage turns into banner... Apoc mercylessly kills banner, end of story.

Nice strategy. 👆 But unnecessary. Apocalypse can destroy Hulk easily even if Hulk is fully enraged.
