Do you see the logical branch here? Distortion has to go through certain changes to become Change itself. Change cannot go through stages to become Distortion. THEY. ARE. TOO. DIFFERENT.
You cannot call them the same. You're arguing just for sake now. The two cannot be considered the same. That's why they're two different words, have two different definitions and serve as two different functions. It's a very simple concept, I don't see why you cannot understand.
