That entire arc, although it can be construed as a bad showing, is actually one of his best. It demonstrates his enormous will power and superior intellect. It also shows that Apocalypse lives by a code different from other supervillains and that guys like Magneto, or Sinister, etc, would not have had the strength to do the feats he did in that arc, if they were weakened to the same extent.
This is a fight from a what if issue.

Apoc handling Cable effortlessly.
Nice fight. 👆 To explain for anyone reading Evil_Ash's last post: What you are seeing is Apocalypse's control of the TO virus. He is using it to create a doppelganger of himself inside the infant Nathan Summers aka Cable. Basically, it's like the neural clone Scorpius made in Farscape. A mental imprint of Apocalypse within the TO virus itself.
Here's a contribution from me. X-cutioner's song pt. 10.
Apocalypse treating Xavier's TO virus infection that Stryfe infected him with.

As you, the readers can see, Apocalypse is effectively immune to the TO virus. And it does not hinder his abilities in the way it does Cable's.

Apoc, quite literally blows.

Both happened when he was severally weakened by Dracula's bite.

Nice.
Curious, how did Apocalypse control Archangel's wings? Was it telekinetically?
And is there more of that Cable and Apoc fight?

I assume he had direct control over them, by somehow. He does have a quite good control over technology, and it was he who gave those wings to Archangel.
It really wasn't a fight. After that sca, Stryfe suprises Apoc & turns on him and then he tacles Apoc into some kind of time vortex killing them both.
Of course no Apocalypse respect thread is complete or even worth being called a respect thread, without a nod to the supreme powerhouse that is his animated incarnation.

the one thing these 4 episodes affirm for me, is that Apocalypse has the best dialogue in the show.
Not really an episode, just someone's tribute. But watch it all the way through. There's an interesting little tidbit at the end. 😈
