Letting Prime run free with that kind of power throughout the multiverse would be a clean and efficient way of taking out threats. and yeah, his current master is one of the few people who could have upgraded him.

Directly after the main story... Mxy jokes about the issue in the history of Mxy basically laughing off his "beatdown" for "our entertainment."
Mxy knows what's going on...seems like he played along to an extent, thought with SBP's combination of being outside of the multiverse plus whatever power up he got (anti monitor?), and apparent immunity to magic it seems that he wasn't going to be able to affect prime.
Or it could be DC's version of the Protege'/LT incident. 🙂

I find it hillarious that SMP needs mxy's powers. And he can't make mxy give them to him. Plus Mxy does indeed have the power to destroy the multiverse and create SMP's universe.
