...and my earlier gripe remains. There was no reason to kill 2/3 of his potential army. Done intelligently he could've just amassed even more heroes in the Bleed or something. Explain the situation and they'd all willingly fight.

Agreed. I really liked some of the characters they killed. There was a lot of potential with some of them.
