Ugly Betty

Couldn't believe there wasn't a Thread done already on this brilliant show.

When it first started I wasn't in the least bit interested then one night for osme reason, I guess becuase nothing else was on, I watched it and I haven't stopped since.

It comes on Thursdays at 8pm right before Grey's Anatomy. Sadly tonight it didn't come on though. cry

They could have at least given us a warning. I was looking forward to it. Some may say, "Ohhhh it's a girly show." But it's not. Far from it.

You just have to look beyond the exterior. It's so much more.

yeah.. i just found out that the original version is actually a telenovela.. My friends back home was laughing at me when I told them I watched Ugly Betty.. they thought i'm watching telenovela (the original version..) but hey.. so far i enjoy this show.. it's funny!!! 🙂

Doesn't the original have a moronic ending where she starts to dress 'well' and ends up getting together with the character who is played by Eric Mabius(sp?) in the new version?

Yeah, it didn't seem like the kind of show that I would watch either. But it surprised me.

Surprisingly good show, the previews of the show before they started sending it really didn't do the show justice. Seemed like a really crappy show then, but it all changed with the first episode.

Ugly Betty is very unique and oddly hilarious. One of my favourite thing added in the movie is how one particular supermodel is depicted as a comic book movie villian.
