definitely looking forward to seeing this...dead mans shoes was phenomenal

its been a good year for these kind of UK films...London to Brighton and Red Road were also both brilliant

This Is England is a film I have been looking forwards to a lot, I also enjoyed Dead Mans Shoes. Where did Dead Man Walking come from...

a trailer of sorts

i grew up with Skinheads in a northern town
hence the interest on my part

Can't wait. That'd be awesome if it got a limited theatrical release in the states. Unlikely, though.

It is getting a limited release over in America, July time, don't know the actual day.

No, THIS IS SPARTA!

Dead Man's Shoes was good

I plan on seeing it this week.

i doubt it will live up to Dead Man's Shoes

its been brought forward to April 27th
i doubt the multiplexes will have it on
guess its another visit to my local arthouse cinema again

Dead Man's Shoes is definitely better. This is England starts off really strong, but ends pretty weak. Still pretty good, though.

Oo for those who loved This Is England, it is getting a sequel, but shown as a four part series on television, called We Were Faces. Shane Meadows is co-writing it.

We Were Faces revists the main characters – Shaun, Woody and Lol – in 1986, when the World Cup was taking place in Mexico, Chris de Burgh held the number one slot and 3.4 million were unemployed in Britain.

As Shaun sits his last school exam, the realisation dawns that he will have to find his own way in the world. But friends including Woody, Lol, Smell, Gadget and Pukey are around looking for love, laughs and a job.

All the main cast, including Turgoose, are expected to return.

I can't wait for this.

I watched this the other night...

didn't like it

Why didn't you like This Is England?

just thought it was too boring.. i may re watch it if/when it comes back on though to see if my opinion changes

it was not too bad, I enjoyed it.

Not as good as other british yob movies. The dude was soo young tho, it just made me not like the character, and the fact the Tommy dude keeps making him his little aprentice just sucked.

I enjoyed This is England, so I'll give the sequel a go.

Another older British movie that I greatly enjoy is Bravo Two Zero, though I hear it was originally a four-part series pieced together. Don't know why I'm throwing this out there. Watch it though, has Sean Bean.

Not as good as other british yob movies.

Examples of better British 'yob' films?
