Apparently this project has been offered to Jason Reitman, but he turned it down. Doesn't sound like he thinks it's a good idea, calling the script just "OK."

Well, it's an ensemble film. Maybe they're looking for directors who can make a good dynamic with several characters. That's how Bryan Singer got the X-Men gig: showing what he can do with a diverse group in The Usual Suspects.
Back in the 1980's, his dad was connected to the Batman movie; it was a good thing it never happened. We may have had Bill Murray as Bruce Wayne.

So unless George Miller's got his paws on some illicit Kryptonite capsules, it looks like "Justice League" is doing the zombie jig back into the realm of the living. But what could drive Warner Bros. to resuscitate the plagued project? Well, if we were betting Wizards—which, by the by, we are not—we'd say it has something to do with the company's recent meeting on how best to proceed with their DC properties.

That's funny; I tapped Eva Green to play Sersi, if Marvel Studios ever did a film adaption involving the Eternals. She's got that witchy, magic-user look.

From the article it says the project remains on hold and that George Miller is no longer involved. Even if the film is turned down. There is always a strong posibility that it will animated. But I'm glad GL remains a hot topic. Green Lantern movie would be interesing and if the screenplay is done by Geoff Johns.....it would be phenomenal!
full stop if they don't use branden routh or christian bale the movie is a complete waste of time and WB r a bunch of fuking idiots and twats. How much do you think robert downey Jr. at the end of hulk excited every one? A million as people love to see their heroes they've seen on the big screen re-enact with each other! the avengers movie if good (obviously) will be a box office hit it will get even the chavs and as u yankees call sports jocks excited, think about it then realise Marvel can market their products extremely well, they are genius'.
