Word! 🙂

Watchmen deserves a shout aswell. I HEART Watchmen.

Crisis on Infinite Earths.

Secret Wars, for the sheer fun. Civil War for its excellent, thoughtful writing. Infinity Gauntlet for, well, Adam Warlockm Thanos, Surfer and Death.

Kingdom Come and Crisis....are decent, too, as far as DC goes.

I'll agree on all of those, except for two things. One, Crisis had great writing. DC's is usually better than Marvel's. And 2, "Civil War for its excellent, thoughtful writing. " hysterical

What was wrong with CV's writing? Besides, DC's writing is terribly overrated.

For Marvel, I can't think of many xovers I actually like. I guess I'll say my fav's are Infinity Gauntlet & Annihilation - most of the other xovers have sucked and at least those weren't too bad.

I like Kingdom Come, Watchmen, even Crisis on Infinite Earths (concept-wise it was interesting)

Funny thing is, I prefer Marvel to DC personally but I've always felt DC did crossovers better. I hate most of Marvels events with a passion. Ironic

Go read the Civil war report. there's a link in there somewhere for CW in 30 seconds.

Yea, Civil War just seemed pointless. HoM, Disassembled, Onslought, Reborn blah blah blah. I've hated Marvel's mainstream xovers for years - they're all hype. To be honest, I think after IG - I lost interest in Marvel events period. The only good crossover in recent years is Annihilation.

I just think of the good ole' days 🙂

My favorite would be the IG arc, next then would be Serect Wars I

You know what I always thought this was so because DC simply has a better general story to put so many characters together. I mean most croosovers either center on Superman or is primarily ran through the JLA> Everything else just kind of follows it so a lot of the ground work doesn't have to be laid out with DC.

Marvel -IG definitely. The IW was also pretty good.

DC- Crisis

marvel-ig
dc-idenity crisis
greatest story/event in marvel/dc
whats the worst story/event in marvel/dc

Green Lantern Rebirth
IC

Marvel

Secret Wars I
Days of Future Past
Inferno
Atlantis Attack

COIE probably 😬

Even though i've read it 10x now and it still confuses the hell out of me 😬

Top DC choices:

The Great Darkness Saga
Kingdom Come
IC
JLA One Million
All-Star Superman
COIE

Top Marvel Choices:

Secret Wars I
Entire IG Saga
Marvel Zombies
The Ultimates #1, vol. #1-#2
The Life and Death of Cap. Marvel
HOM

Top Misc. Choice:

V for Vendetta

For me, it has to be Secret Wars I (I'm still trying to erase II from my memory!) followed by IG.

The only thing SW II was good for, was to see what the Beyonder could do.

The story itself was shit IMO.

Crisis on Infinite Earths.

Same here. Because that was an event that had real change for the DC universe, and for the better. It's almost like the calender at DC changed from B.C. to A.D., that's how significant it was.
Secret Wars I & II were just large-scale battles that would mean nothing by the end. The closest Marvel has gotten to the effect of the original Crisis, can be found somewhat in Civil War and Annihilation.

I don't count series like Watchmen or V For Vendetta (seperate universe), or Kingdom Come or The Dark Knight Returns (alternate futures/elseworlds) - for this question, only events within the mainstream at the time.
