My owning of the comics really shouldn't have anything to do with my knowledge of the characters. Regardless of me having them or not, I do actually extensively research all of the characters I debate on as well. Respect threads help, of course. But I also go out of my way to learn as much about characters as possible.

Back on topic, Kingpin pretty much hates Spider-Man. It's not out of character at all.

15 yrs our time or 15 yrs Marvel time?

Remember in the MU its only been about 10-15 yrs since the the Fantastic Four recieved their powers. Pretty much everything else in Marvel follows on this timescale. That means Peter has only been Spider-Man for about 10 yrs and if the last major Kingpin confrontations have only taken place in the last 15 yrs in our time (though I am positive it has not been that long) then its only been a few years in Marvel time. Considering the Kingpin has been known to hold grudges and is very much an opportunist he saw a chance to get back at one of his oldest enemies and took it. I don't see whats so hard to grasp about that.

Your wrong btw. One of Kingpin most recent appearances, before he was "dethroned" in Daredevil was in Peter Parker: Spider-Man in 2000 where Peter thwarted an assasination attempt by Bullseye ordered by the Kingpin. Kingpin reinterated his hate of the wallcrawler there and the year before where he shown trying to restructure his empire but having to deal with Spider-Man thwarting him.

any realize that it a little odd that the king pin at one of peters parks family members killed?

He scumm, but he never been that way as I recall he never gone after a person family and if any one why spidermans?

It feels like the just did it in order to boost sales for the new movie becuase of the black suit. This gave them a reason for spiderman to now were the suit in comics as well. what do you all think?

You do know that his primary target was Spider-man.. Not his aunt.
