They carry on any power they had. I know what you're saying, but a Jedi would be able to use the Force and stuff like that. Not sure about Smith, but I guess if he had to be in another world or however the Matrix works (I know, I suck for have never seeing the Matrix) then it wouldn't work if he had to be in the Matrix.

Physical Description: Very well toned, in-shape.
Background: The son of an over-the-hill prize fighter, Matt was lectured about the importance of brains by his father, Jack. Jack wanted his son to never end up as he had, a washed-up fighter with no skills aside from boxing, which he could no longer do. So, Matt stayed in his room an studied while other kids played outside. They would tease him for his seemingly cowardly character by calling him daredevil. Tired of being pushed around, Matt began to use his dads old exercise equiptment every chance he got, for hours on end daily. He kept up his studies though, and remained the head of the class. One day while Matt was walking along the street, he saw a blind man about to walk infront of a moving toxic-waste truck. He lept, pushing the old man to safety, but at the cost of his own sight. This never slowed him down, and Matt continued to have a positive outlook on life. Jack, however, became distraught when he realised he couldn't pay for his son to go to college. A local criminal-boss named "The Fixer" offered to manage Jack, but at the price of him throwing his final fight. Jack refused to give up infront of his son, and actually won. He was killed for it later that night by one of The Fixers men. Later on, just as he finished college, Matthew decided he'd bring his fathers killer to justice.
Personality: As Matthew Murdock, he is calm and withdrawn. But absolutely fearless as DareDevil
Abilities: The toxic waste that spilled over his eyes took away Matt's eyesight, but it gave his remaining senses a superhuman boost. He is now able to hear someones very heartbeat from a room away unaided, can balance better than the worlds greatest circus acrobat. His reflexes are also amazingly strong, and responsive. His sense of touch enables him to even read by brushing his hand over a newspaper, feeling the imprint of the ink. The most amazing ability he has is his radar-sense. Sounds bounce off of objects and people, enabling him to 'see' better than any sighted person.
Faults: Though he can see better than anyone else, he must always pretend to be blind while being Matt Murdock, so as not to arouse suspicion.
