That is so cool, Tex! Oystercatchers are such beautiful birds, I don't think I've ever seen one in person though. Actually, my parents do the actual rehabbing - I just help sometimes. Right now, its baby squirrel season and we're helping out some of the mammal rehabbers b/c they are overwhelmed - we've got chipmunks, flying squirrels, and grey squirrels right now, not to mention the few doves/pigeons, blue jays, hummingbirds and sparrows we've got left 😛 The flying squirrels are *adorable* - when one came in, she was smaller than my pinky and weighed 8g!

Okay, sorry for the totally OT post (*slaps wrist*).

I went to a pumpkin festival with expertly carved pumkins, an dthere was one of Jack!!! My friends and I were staring at it, and my non POTC- loving friends rolled their eyes at us... It was scary how alike it looked to the real Jack though. You would have thought they put a black and orange picture on the pumkin!

Hm. One day on the weekend of a pirate festival I saw a pirate ship driving down the road.

Now that is undoubtablely the coolest thing I have ever heard--don't cha just love people who will do the unexpected.

Also there is a kit for Jack's face!!

I wish I get to go to the convention on saturday(jpint convention of almost every fandom in the Philippines.. and POTC (BLackPearlPhilippines) fans'll be there!
