I think in a prepped match DS would win but as for a strait up fight thanos wins for the main reason that the OE won't affect him.Him being an Avatar of Death would make him essential to the Universe right?
DS's best hope would be BFR with the OE or Omega Sanction thanos but overall I give Thanos about 6.5/10.
OE wouldn't work on Thanos as Thanos is > Wonder Woman's wrist bands. Thanos's reaction time is better than Seid's as he's reacted tp a blitz by someone who could blitz Silver Surfer. Thanos is much more cunning as he's become the most powerful character of his Mu once, whereas Darkseid has not. His plans are also usually successful, he only fails because he subconsciously wants to fail as explained by Warlock.

It's a great comparison. Thanos reacting to a speedblitz has what to do with his telepathy? Xavier has telepathy too, but does that mean he can react to an actual speedster? Facts speak for themselves, Thanos is more cunning.

It is a fact. Their showings prove it. Darkseid loses because he actually can't win, Thanos loses because he subconsciously doesn't want to win and only wants Mistress Death. He's also achieved more than Darkseid has.
yay! I get to post in it before it gets closed again in 16 minutes. these two are roughly the same: gigantic losers. DS has the best offensive power in the form of the OE, but since death rejected thanos, that's kind of moot. I'll go with thanos cause as pathetic as he is, his power hasnt been watered down as much.

This is actually quite simple if you think about it. The two are practically the same character except in different universes. That being said I'm going with Thanos simply for the fact that he what Darkseid should have been. When Darkseid starts to act up Superman can deal with it all by himself. When Thanos puts his mind to something you need a team up of Marvels baddest MoFo's. Darkseid may be a New God in his universe, but that is hardly impressive. Thor (who could easliy stand toe to toe with Superman) went mad he was able to not only dong smack Beta Ray Bill (an alien with the powers of the Thunder God) and the Silver Surfer (who could make Superman his *****, but that's another debate altogether). He was also able to fight off the Infinite Watch and take the Power Gem from Drax the Destroyer. Now that is no easy task. When things weren't looking so good for this merry band of Marvels finest they needed Thanos's help to put an end to Thor's blood lust. My only regret is that when they did the Marvel vs DC crossover they only hinted around about these two throwing down. That one battle could have redeemed the the joke that the crossover eventually became.

All very good points. I would further add.. that not only did they feel Thanos could deal with this problem and drop Thor in on him without warning and with no prep... Later on when he went to fight his Father after dealing with Thor... Warlock comments.. Thanos full might has never been tested or seen. This is after he already dealt with bloodlusted Thor with the PG
