if China's economy keeps growing at the rate it is it will be the worlds most powerful in 10 years....but then its only growing at the rate it is because of US investment...so i'm sure the US will turn off the taps when it feels China is getting too big for its boots

I could easily see this. But, I can also see the rise of Russia again also. They have no debt, and are making a killing selling arms to our enemies.

If this were a real war......against a country....civilians residing in that country would be acceptable colateral damage if the governing body refused to step back. Remember WWII when we were at war with a real county.......remember Hiroshima and Nagasaki? We aren't afraid to lay waste to an enemy........the problem is, the Iraqis aren't our enemies. We are fighting WITH Iraq against their terrorist factions.

true...but its not like the US doesn't spend vast sums of money on training elite units to combat those tactics...not to mention it was the CIA who trained the mujahadeen of afghanistan in those tactics to fight the soviets 30 years ago...so i'm sure, given their resources, that they should be a little more effective than they are.
but when wars are fought in accordance with public relations then you're not going to get anywhere fast...

there is a definite agenda long planned to take us along the road to a world government, army, central bank, currency, and a microchipped population. China is booming right now economically speaking, countries/corporations around the world are pouring resources into China to turn a quick profit , this in effect will open China and the Chinese population to the outside world which could have detrimental effects on it's Communist government and China will most likely begin to slow down or outright crash because it is growing too fast for it's own good; I highly doubt China will be an any position in the near future or want to for that matter to "take over the world".

I hear "China's gonna take over the world!" way too often. It's getting old, and until I see something come of that "prediction" everyone who says that is just another doomsday nutcase as far as I'm concerned.

We Americans don't take shit. If an enemy, any enemy were to invade our soil, we would not sit back and be dependant upon our military for defense.
