NEWS about AWE.....

Disney had a presentation of upcoming films at ShoWest, and apparently some footage was shown from AWE:

"It would be very upsetting if they didn't say or show anything from Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, but being Disney's biggest movie of the summer, they obviously saved the best for last. After a similar presentation talking about the history and marketing of the franchise, which would include the already-seen "smoke" one-sheets and another campaign with the characters against a bright red background, the presenter said that the new trailer was being saved for the next morning's Opening Ceremony.

Instead, they had an even more impressive presentation that included many scenes from the trailer and a few scenes that might not make it, including the first bit in which Depp's Captain Jack Sparrow confronts two women with the fact that he can't lie to them and after sharing a few "truths" he's slapped by both. This was followed by a couple quick scenes including Chow Yun-Fat's Sao Fen proclaiming "Welcome to Singapore!" and a bit of raw footage of Depp interating with Sao Fenn, who also hits him. The scenes were interspersed with soundbites from Bruckheimer, Depp and Knightley, plus a number of funny gags, including one involving a pirate ship which was being rocked from one side to the other as everyone on deck ran from one side to the other. They also showed some of the pre-vis CGI for the climactic final battle between the two pirate camps, which seemed to include a battle between Capt. Jack Sparrow and Davy Jones high atop the ship's rigging. (Hopefully, we'll have more to write about after seeing the full trailer in the morning, though I expect some of this footage to have been exclusive to this presentation.)"

the thing is, in the picture where jack gets slapped by the whores, it looks like they're back at port royal.
So its the end fo the film, theres a boat next to them, and i get the feeling that the wedding will probably end up being there...

you know what is annoying about this? these scenes were all released at comic-con, and they will probably also be the only ones on the trailer... so we'll have to go more weeks without new information... sorry im being down right now lol

ANYway! I'm excited about all this trailer stuff but a little diasappointed that some of the clips won't make the cut but still very HAPPY!!!!!!

It's suppose to be the most anticipated movie of the year! It's pirates for goodness sakes! Barbossa is back and Jack is back!! And we will get that special ending!! NO MATTER WHAT THE FRIGGIN MEDIA SAY!!

Well here are some other news I found.....Some one who saw the trailer kinda different from what i heard...

Here are my impressions... firstly, the trailer kicked donkey. Bruckheimer said that PIRATES 1 and 2 were ours d'ourves for the 3rd flick and the trailer does represent that.

It begins much like the last film’s trailer with the creepy little girl singing Yo-Ho Yo-Ho a Pirate’s Life For Me and then we see footage from the end of DEAD MAN’S CHEST, namely Barbossa’s reintroduction and the set-up for third film.

The new footage begins with a wreck of a ship sailing through icy waters. The design is very asian-influenced and on board we see Barbossa, ice in his mustache and beard.

The next shot is of that ship heading towards a huge waterfall as Naomi Harris, the voodoo lady, narrates again about goin’ “to dee ends ub dee urff…”

We don’t see how Captain Jack is rescued or saved, but our first look at Depp is onboard a ship, looking around at all the familiar faces from his previous crew and Kiera Knightley and Orlando Bloom.

Sparrow says, “Did no one save me just because they missed me?” And everybody kind of looks around guiltily, then the zombie monkey raises his hand.

The main thrust of the trailer was to set up the goal of Lord Beckett to wipe out all pirates, so that his greedy and corrupt corporation can have complete control of the seas and that all the pirates have to band together to stop him. There are four groups, each from a different corner of the world, including a glimpse of Chow Yun Fat.

Then the big stuff hit, epic shots of fleets of pirate ships engaging an enemy, cannonballs ripping wood.

I was a little worried that we didn’t see any Davy Jones in the trailer, hoping they didn’t just kind of throw his character and arc to the side, but then I caught a glimpse of him in a quick cut, Sparrow smacking him upside the head.

Then I caught more than a glimpse of him.

This is my favorite shot from the trailer. The camera circles around Jack Sparrow and Davy Jones as they duel. The kicker is they are up in the rigging of one of the ships, standing face to face on the mast… probably the Black Pearl, but I didn’t get a close enough look. I was more drawn to the fast and furious sword play. Looked great, like the best parts of the PHANTOM MENACE lightsaber duel with Maul and Obi-Wan. Maybe not as fancy, but definitely as furious.

The trailer ended with Jack Sparrow standing beside a cannon, holding a flame to the fuse as someone says, “Are you mad?” He replies, “If I wasn’t then this probably wouldn’t work,” and ignites the fuse, firing the cannon, which somehow releases a rigging somewhere and the rope Sparrow was holding yanks him up and off the deck of the ship.

Big applause and Bruckheimer said that there would be a big event to unleash the trailer in 25 cities March 19th. I think you might be hearing a little more about that soon…

Out at ShoWest in Las Vegas I walked inside of the opening ceremony presentation the moment before the trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean 3 began, just perfectly in time. It was an experience to behold, as the screen was as large as the entire Broadway stage it was on and the projector was the most beautiful, brilliant picture I've ever seen (and I mean ever). Without further ado, here are a few details from the new trailer that I remember.

» Right in the middle of a fight on a ship, Orlando Bloom asks Keira Knightley “will you marry me?” upon which she replies about why he was asking now (in the middle of fighting).

» One of the final epic battles, as seen in the trailer, revolves (literally) around a huge whirlpool that forms in the middle of an ocean, where two ships, Davy Jones vs Johnny Depp, fight as they spin around. Tons of action scenes involving this.

» An awesome sword fight where three people, including Keira Knightley, are standing on a deck and people underneath them throw swords up through the slots and they catch them and start fighting.

» An awesome fight scene where Johnny Depp and Davy Jones are sword fighting one-on-one on the edge of a ship. This one is going to be amazing in the final film.

» Tia Dalma and Geoffrey Rush (aka Barbossa) are fairly prominent in the trailer, so it's no longer a plot reveal when Captain Barbossa appears in the trailer.

My response from the whole thing – Pirates of the Caribbean 3 is going to be EPIC. If you thought the $1 billion box office earnings last year were big, just wait until this May, when we've got Spider-Man 3, Shrek 3, and Pirates 3 all in one month. I can tell you this is going to be one intense battle. It's going to be Tobey Maquire one-on-one sword fighting Johnny Depp instead.

Everything in this trailer was just exciting and astounding. I was way more excited watching this trailer than watching the trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean 2. There were a lot more scenes within it, as it was a full 2 and a half minute trailer that will be fully unveiled early next week. However, I can confidently say that there are no worries for Disney – Pirates 3 is going to be an epic movie and have an epic opening. And this trailer will get you more excited than you've ever been.
