Loki saw that he could no longer help the pack from how weak the wound was making him. He made a final glance at the rest of the wolves in the cave. The noly wolves he could see was Odin, Faith and, the new addition Maya. He limped up to where each of them could see and hear him. "I have over-stayed my welcome and usefullness to the pack. With my current wound I will only slow the pack down.." After saying his message he slowly limped towards the front of the den.

The moon shown brightly on Khaz's silvery white pelt when he caught the scent of the other Wolves. The Dragga had obviously marked their hunting territory, and he had violated the code by not asking Tratto's Blessing. He sighed... He hadn't kept to the code much these days... Perhaps the wolves could help?

Quickly, he found the lodgings of the wolves. There seemed to be four, at least that's what he could see, and most seemed tough, except for an injured one. The moon was full behind Khaz as he descended the hill and came to the clearing around the den. He was in full view of what looked to be the Alphas, and he just stood, waiting to be acknowledged.

Maya looked at the wolf who saved her, he was going to leave the den because he was injured, then what about her, if it wasn't for him she could be dead.

She got up and limped towards him. 'If you go out there you will die? The cold weather is against you Loki, and I feel I will hold down the pack to with my injury,' Maya looked deep into his eyes. 'Stay Please'

She lifted up her muzzle and rubbed it lovingly against his. But her eyes caught on to another wolf out side the den. She noticed he stood proud like he was waiting to me see,

"I will stay until I fail the pack." He let out a slight smile to Maya rubbed up against him but when she looked out of the den he took his chance and started to limp away as she was distracted. He limped almost to the front of the den until he saw Khaz he slowly limped past him deeper into the snow until he was hard to see by the average wolf. He layed down in the snow waiting to be covered by snow and forgotten by the pack.

Maya looked around and noticed Loki was gone. She limped to the edge of the den still to afraid to go outside and saw him walking off into the distance until the snow blocked her view. She shook off the snow flakes that gathered on her eyes and howled into the wind.

The deep howl from the female brought back a memory that chilled Loki deep in his soul. That howl made him decide to return to the mouth of the den. He walked up to Maya and spoke to her. "I will not leave your side until the move is complete young Maya. He layed down at the mouth of the den and look out into the snow that seemed to pile up higher every day.

Maya lied next to him and rubbed her muzzle against his.

'Thank you for coming back. You know you could have died tonight Loki, the wind is very bitter and the snow is extremely heavy. I feel that tonight isn't your time to die. You just can't go yet!' Maya said in a soft whimper.

Loki rubbed up against Maya slowly. "I may end up having to leave to save the pack. I will sacrifice myself for the pack. But i will stay as long as I possibly can." He relaxed his muscles and layed his head down letting out a whimper and a sigh at the same time.

Maya spoke softly to Loki so nobody else could hear her. 'Well Loki until that sad time lets never talk of this again.'

The she rested her head on Loki's ruff and closed her eyes.

Loki let out a slow breath as he slowly fell asleep near where Maya was. As his eyes slowly closed he spoke out. "If anything needs to be done just wake me and I shall help." At this he slowly fell asleep.

Tyri, who had been resting near Faith rose as a new scent reached her sensitive nsoe. As she stood an unfamiliar sight reached her deep silvery eyes. Gleaming flawlessly in the light of the moon on a hill over looking the den stood a lone, white wolf, with pericing eyes that reeled in Tyri's even from the distance at which she stood. His figure was stern, tough, and intimidating. unconciously Tyri uttered a low growl, then smothered it as she took a steady step forward. her head was heald low as she wlaked, and her paws lifted and fell daintily on the ground. She seemed to emerge from a devine cloud of misty warmth in the snow. As she walked by Maya and loki she simply nodded, and continued on. She stopped a few meters away from the loner, and bowed her head before moving a few feet closer, until her nose nearly brushed his. standing tall, head heald high, ears pricked, Tyri let her gaze meet the other wolf's. She spoke in a firm voice, steady and feirce as he rown gaze penetrated his. she was tense, and would not allow anohter attack on her pack.

" You've reached the lands of the Silver pack. My name is Tyri, beta and current leader here. "

her voice took on a prideful tone then.

" Who are you, and is there any way I can aid you? "

She walked up beside him then, never taking her eyes off his to inspect him. Now thta they where on even ground she could see he was somewhat larger than her. his face was hard and deep set. He had toned muscles, and obviously knew how to hunt for himself. Still, though, he carried a curious air about him. Somehting that struck a chord in Tyri. Not quite saddness..Maybe it was simply the fact that she herself disliked solitude so very much, and lone wolves epitomized it.

She continued to pace aorund the wolf, breathing in his scent, holding is eyes in a chokehold. her nose worked it's way over his body, and she kept a distance far enough for comfort and unintimidation. She eyed his legs and face to check for injuries. He seemed quite alright from this point of view. She stepped back then, waiting for a response. after this was recieved she would consider letting the male asses her.

As it grew darker and the snow started to fall faster Loki slowly rose and left the den while no none was paying any attention to his acctions. Trudging throught the snow he found he gotten quite a large distance from the den and when he saw none had noticed his absence he new what he must do. He had gotten about sixty or seventy feet from the den and had been almost masked by the snow 'cept for the crescant on his head gleaming in the cold night air. He layed down where he was and waited until a thick layer of snow would cover him and make his existance be forgotten. "They will benefit more from me being gone.. I can not hunt in my condition and I will only slow them down. Not to mention eat the food they tried so hard to store up for the migration."

Khaz let the Beta proceed with her inspection, and then lowered his head, and closed his eyes and spoke slowly.
"My name..." He hesitated.. Should he give her his name. Maybe they didn't know his past? He could start fresh...
"My name is Khaz." He lifted his head, and met her gaze eyes glistening.
"I'm here on the basis that I may join your pack."

Tyri raised her elegant silver head, ears twitching softyl, as she listened to his words. She took a step back from him and checked him over once more. So, he wanted to join their pack? S loner such as himself. She took a minute to think it over and then made a soft, affirmitive noise before letting her eyes fall on the pack. She noted her mate, some distance away form the others. barking softly she called ot him, and then turned to Khaz.

" I don't see why not..but please come with me. "

Her intensity was toned down quite a bit, and a soft smile even crossed her muzzle as she trotted toward the den, the loner trailing her. She opened her mouth ot bark to Carbo, but close dit and turned abruplty as she reached the den's mouth. She lowered her head and gorwled softly.

" That is my mate, and you can speak to him. now, if you'll excuse me, i must attend to something.

With that she turned on her haunches and dashed off toward the woods. She breathed deeply as she virtually flew across the snow covered plains. Her heart raced, and she could only hope she was not too late. The coldness caused her breath to lcoud in front of her face, and as dusk began to set in she knew the hunters would return soon. This would be there last meal here, then they were leaving. She herself did not particularly want to leave anyone behind. Finally she reached the edge of the thinkening woods. It was past the Silver pack territory. Growling softly, she took a step forward. Her head was heald low, her ears forward and alert. Her eyes scanned the terrain in front of her.

She could smell humans.

Shuddering softly, she continued on, stepping lightly and carefully. She did not want to be loud, and possibly disturb another creature, or worse, a human. Those damn nobles would tear her up out here, alone and searching, the pack might not even know what had happened to her...Carbo... She shook her head violently and tossed the htought brusquely away. Loki's scent caught her nose then, and her head perked up. she trotted forward, a little more confidently before uttering a low, soft bark in hopes that he would hear her.

Loki was burrie deep under the snow when in his "Living Dream" he heard a slighty soft howl. His eyes opened and he had originaly believed he had died from the cold and was being attended to by the Goddes of Wolves. Shaking and pushing upwards he heaved the snow off of his body. The snow had made a large area and he knew he must have been there for wuite some time. He came face to face with Tyri and onstantly knew he was alive. "Why have you come to my resting place, young one?"

Tyri's head cocked slightly and she listened intently. She caught the sound of Loki rising, and smiled. A soft whine cme from her mouth as she bounded over in a puppy like manner. She liked his fur gently, her whole body wiggling and tail wagging. She nosed him softly and finally sat and smiled, after nosing bits of snow off of his pelt. She then softly licked the crescent on his forhead. Finally calmed, she spoke with something of a smile.

" But this shouldn't be your resting place. you hsould be with us, in the Silver Pack. We all depend on each other, and we have come to depend on you as well."

Turning for a moment, Tyri gazed homeward.

" Please come back with me. "

Her eye were widened slightly, captivating a certain pleading inside of her. Her body was heald tightly where she sat, and her ears rested back on her low heald head.

Loki looked around and then returned his eyes to Tyri. He listened intently to her words before he finally agreed. "If I must I will return with you to the Silver Pack. But we must move quickly the scent of humans is very close." At that he rose and looked around the surrounding area for any movement besides their own. Satisified that there are no humans in the amid area he looks at her waiting for her to make the first move towards the den.

Faith walked out of the den, looking around to count the pups of the pack. She always did, to make sure that none had gone missing. After careful counting, she had found all but one of the pups. She caught a bit of nervosity, but most likely the pup had just gone exploring a bit on his own. She walked trough the soft snow, who nearly tickled her under her paws. The chill was comfortable after having felt the warmth of the pack inside the den. She climbed up on a rock and observed the environment. As suspected, there he was. The little pup was sniffing a tree down the hill, close to the river. Faith shook her head and sighed in relief. She then trotted carefully down there, in order to meet this little one and bring him back to his rightful place. In the pack. She bit him by the neck and lifted him up. While walking, the word echoed her mind 'Pack, pack, pack'. What would happen to the pack with all this happening. They would have to migrate in order to survive. If not for their own sake, then for the sake of the pups.

She arrived back at the den, where she laid the pup next to his favorite rock. She tucked the pup in, who quickly fell asleep thanks to his wild adventure in the woods. She smiled and laid down next to him, licking him over the head, to clean him from the dirt he had caught when walking around in the woods. While she did, she could not stop thinking of the future of the pack. What did future hold in his paw and was it a good thing for the Silver pack?
