Atlantis vs Wakanda (WAR!!!)

Atlantis and Wakanda, two of the most advanced and powerful nations in the Marvel Universe. What would happen if these two great nations came into conflict and eventual war? Both lead by their superhero royalty, Namor - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Namor and T'Challa - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T%27Challa

Atlantis - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlantis_%28comics%29

Wakanda - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wakanda_%28comics%29

Who would win?
What effects would there be?
How would the world and the heroes respond?

Hmmm......Wakanda would have the political, technological advantages over Atlantis,,,,,but Atlantis would have more powerful solidiers and Namor.

The world would probably avoid the conflict since Civil War just happened, and Atlantis is the one country that won't suffer any problems if Panther fires hundreds of people........that would make the world more likely to go against panther.

I say Atlantis wins in the long run.

What no one else is interested in this idea? 😮 🙁

I think it is an innovative idea. But what does it mean to be in the war? Are they just trying to bend the other nation to their will. Is one trying to take the other over?

For example, I think that Wakanda could stave off an Atlantean invasion, but it would be a challenge. But they could not take over Atlantis by any means. A battle between a group of troops at the shore, well that could go any way. Just doing damage to the other nation? Probably Wakanda and its tech could do more, though they wouldn't do it. Regime change, neither could do it.

A digression: Somehow this battle makes me think of my avatar. Black Manta said (something to the effect of): "if my people can't be free on land, well then we'll rule the seas!" Imagine if he could actually start an underwater kingdom. What a better character he would be if they had played up this aspect of him more. If he could be more like Namor, sometimes bad, sometimes good, but always ruthless. Then we could have Black Panther and Black Manta vs. Atlantis in an interesting cross-over storyline 😉
