Okay, full out list of pros and cons. Just like "Friends," we will make a list and compare the two.
Will Pros:
- Young, strong, reasonably attractive fellow
- Skillful- makes swords, uses swords, can fix things around the house/ship/hut wherever.
- Do-gooder, very moral person, would always be faithful
- Is devoted so much that he would die for you
- Treats people nicely to start off with (see Tia Dalma)
- Knows what it's like to be the underdog, so sensitive to other people
- Great strength of will, not turning out to be a thug like most orphans with bad role models do
- Doesn't hold in his anger, so no tumors in the future
- Can think fairly quickly, come up with ideas, takes risks
- believes someone can be a pirate and a good person
Will's cons:
- Uh, arrested and wanted in Port Royal...no job security in spite of his skills
- slightly awkward around people, stiff and formal at times
- May overlook other people's strengths depending on your point of view
- Threatens people a lot
- Bad luck in getting caught in shipwrecks
- Changes overall missions midway through movies (save Liz/save Dad)
- Flirts with women with bad teeth. We all talk about Liz's sex drive...maybe Will has an itch he has yet to scratch, too.
- SAW HIS GIRLFRIEND KISS ANOTHER GUY AND DIDN'T DO A DAMN THING ABOUT IT! (see youtube's "how DMC should have ended" for a wonderful and hilarious ending in which Will confronts Liz)

Tall, long fingers and large hands so you could imagine long and large...something else
Very masculine
Smart, not naive
Respects women
Concern over propiety but loved Liz' impropiety
Likes rum
Has traveled to exotic places
Great sense of humor
Pretty sword
Is capable of changing his views
Does the right thing in almost every circumstance
Sharpshooter and excellent with a sword
Would probably wear the uniform to bed if asked
Nervous gulp thing which is so cute!
Very attentive and observant
Doesn't believe everything he's told
Hard worker
Protects the people he loves
Cons:
Generally hates pirates
His wife would be expected to hold balls and act in a certain manner
Has propiety
Believes in the law
Doesn't believe everything he's told
Tendency to puke when drinking too much
Anger problem
A bit self-deprecating at times, almost suicidal
I'll try Jack...
Pros:
Sexiest Man in all of the caribbean or the entire world for that matter
has an honest streak, with a good heart
Smart and clever, always ten steps ahead of everyone else
Is very good at finding ways to escape death, (except when being kissed by a woman that has him vexed)
Takes care of the less fortunate (like freeing those slaves)
Is a good friend to Mr. Gibbs
Always has a great plan to help everyone escape
Although he is a "Pirate"...he's never really done any plundering, raping, pillaging....he just likes the Free Lifestyle of the Pirates...if he does steal treasure, he gives it all away...
Refuses to bow to the EITC because he knows that they are corrupt and evil
He's funny and lighthearted
He's sexy
He's gorgeous
He's friendly
He's sensitive (just watch the last scene in DMC upon the Pearl)
He's Brave (watch him face the Kracken/ and his sword fight with Davy in AWE)
Cons:
He'a a Pirate, branded....due to hang in the gallows
ummm. He's mischevious and sneaky
Not sure what else to say...who else can analyze Jack...I love eveything about Jack, so it's hard to come up with negatives...

I think part of the reason that we find it hard to critisize Jack is the fact that his BAD points are his GOOD points...they're the reason we (and alot of other people) love him!!!
Any other movie character would never get away with half the stuff jack does, AND still be loved by the audience....

Damn. This means I'm going to have to come up with cons for Jack. I'm not doing cons of his personality, more like cons on why not to stay with him.........but I think I would stay with him anyway. Okay...
Cons to living with/marrying/having for a boyfriend Jack:
- is ahead of the game, but might leave you out of the planning stage
- if we the analysts can't figure out what Jack's thinking, it would be very hard for a lover to attempt to. I don't know how open he'd be.
- usually tries pretty hard to convince those around him he's NOT a good guy, could backfire
- even though I think he'd be faithful, trust issues would come up
Pros to being with Jack
- very well protected, yet able to have a large amount of freedom
- could see you at your worst and love you all the more for it
- this will sound like a con at first, but he takes a logical approach to love. He waits for the opportune moments to make his moves, biding his time. It's much better than being so impetuous he fumbles it all up.
