We all know that Davy Jones is the captain. no duh. Now seeing as how Will is going to become the next captain will he become the next Davy Jones? and by that I mean what if his heart is broken like Davy Jones? Is that possible?

The three men who have a romantic interest in Elizabeth all seem to have a story that coincides with Davy Jones'.

Norrington's story best follows Jones', so I'm holding out hope that somehow he ends up captain of the Flying Dutchman, because I'd rather have that for him than for him to be *sniffle* dead.

I know Will becomes Captain, but I don't know if he ends up permamently the captain or if the curse for him is broken/lifted at some point. 😄

I hear you. I just want him and his father to end up together. I don't want him to stay with the FD. I have a feeling that that would make him evil. Orlando even said that Will will have a darker side. I just hope it ain't Darth Vader type darker.

Nope; it's more along the lines of betraying before he is betrayed. And since he's not exactly like Davy Jones, I'd say that the ship will return to it's former glory before Davy Jones twisted it and made the ship evil.

the story mirror will also end at ultimate heartbreak. There is redemption to the story of the FD and the captain, so it won't end in heartbreak.

Me and my sis heard its a bitter sweet ending. If it is to sweet that would make it kind of chezzy. There has to be something bad in the ending. Not saying to any1 peticular. Hopefully not Jack!!

I think the bittersweetness comes from old legends dying, the old times dying. It's good that everyone moves forward, but in a way it's sad to leave all that behind. 😄

Besides the ending may be bittersweet simply for the fans because it's the last in the trilogy (so far, at least), so it may actually have no bearing on the storyline at all.

I have my doubts about Norrington popping up again, but I can always dream, right? 😄

It will be bittersweet for me. What will I do with my time after the movie comes out? There will be nothing left to speculate and analyze.

Everything will be revealed but there will be ALOT of twist.

consider, though, it's a huge plot. it's like massive and extremely complex. so there won't be loads of twists... because it's just not that flexible. it's like trying to maneuver a huge bulky vehicle. we know Will is becoming captain, we are fairly certain that Will and Liz get married, we know Jack survives, we know Tia is Calypso, etc. So there isn't a ton of room for twists, in my mind. Emotional ones, maybe.

Just think of all they have to resolve in about a two and a half hour frame. It's mind boggling. So there won't be twists and turns, but many of the questions raised in DMC won't be answered in the way that we think they will be.

Who says shes getting with WILL?! If she wanted to truley marry him she would have said yes on the ship instead of answering him with a question. There is a greater possiblity that she will be with Jack.

Who says that she ends up with JACK?! It's not the most ideal location for him to re-ask her to marry him. And she's a smart girl; perhaps she knows that Will is going to do something in which he might get himself killed. Hence her hesitation. There is nothing anywhere in the laws of movies that says that Elizabeth ends up with Jack.

And it doesnt say Will. I know for sure that Jack will save her from Bekettes brand, it doesn't take a genious to see the expression on her face in Jacks presence. Point is that Jack desires her and you can't end a movie with Jack heart broken. Now it you take her away from Willl he still has his father. While Jack has nothing but his ship, that has caused him massive trouble throughout the movies.
