Which means there is even less chance of it fragmenting, since it isn't stiff and brittle.

the wounds were fresh, and when a bullet comes in contact with wolverines adamantium skeleton it would most likely shatter (it didnt exit the back, as we dont see any wounds in his back) WOlverine didn't have much time to heal as the time frame between him getting shot and blade putting the vampire vial to his neck was in the span of seconds (maybe minutes) not to mention this wouldn't be his only option, I dont view this fight as a win for blade, I few it as a stalemate, I've stated such many times.
