I said early stories and yes it was Byrne...... I have all of Alpha flight up to the Purpleman stuff, I hated him so much from old 70's Daredevils I only read intermittently after that.

How early? as majority and yes majority felt Mantlo did vastly more harm than good. When you said made of dead bodies I thought you were talking about Lionel and that's when the comic started to go downhill. Purple Man story as he came back as a zombie, or the introduction of Purple Man's daughter?
