Why I'm here this afternoon

Went to my 1st full day at Uni today because my day release has now started. Supposed to be there from 9am to 8pm.....!!!!!!!!.

Got the 1st lesson out of the way and then went for lunch, which was soooo boring, its been years since I had a whole hour for lunch and I didn't know what to do with myself. Anyhoo, went for my second class and the teacher is MIA so I've come home for a bit, the worst part is I've gotta go back at 5pm. 🙁

Worse still, I've changed uni location so I got there this morning and everyone else knows each other and I'm all alone. Oh poo, I hate getting to know new people.

Just get pissed, that'll loosen your inhibitions.

Only half decent I'm afraid queeq, in fact she's not that nice at all. I think the fact that I've been going to college and Uni for so long with an all men class that the 1st bit of totty I saw I was a little shocked and made a somewhat hasty appraisal of her appearance.

Thats what you get for studying engineering chaps. If you want to meet women while you study, its best you choose something like fashion or art.

well, life drones on for all of us. I'd luv to return to uni. Maybe some day. In the meantime, the bills hafta get paid. 🙄 😛

School sucks. 🙁

I know what you mean about engineering courses Mech, a bit of a female no go zone. It was certainly a good part of life but as Keo said the bills have to be paid, especially now I own my own place.

I was supposed to be going back to uni to do an MSC, all sponsored by the company, I was accepted to start the course, even had a start date and then the company shares crashed and they put a stop to all the MSC courses.

That sucks Orph. I just about got on this day release course myself, I have to work some extra hours in the week to make up for the day out of work.

I really wanted to do this course though cus its a fast-track course which means I have to work solid for about 21 months and I'll get my BEng(Hons) in "Mangement of Manufacture Systems Engineering".

My god, even the course title makes me want to go to sleep!

Mine was going to be an MSC in "International Technology Management" it was a special course put together for the company, made up of a set of short courses, some done at Uni canpuses in the UK, including Warwick ans Imperial College and some done as corresepondence courses with US unis.

I was looking forward to it but, I suppose these things happen. My boss has just finished a OU course and he has suggested that he may be able to find some funding for me if I was to decides to do an OC course, so all is not completely lost.

I looked at some OU courses but they were soooo expensive and there weren't any specialised courses that my industry would be interested in.

The course I'm doing now is a joint effort between UCE, Dudley College and the Automotive Industry. In kinda specialises in world class standards, design, supply chain managment etc. All the stuff that should be useful to help me get a higher paid job. 😄
