Boxing Thread.

Boxing is one of my favorite sports. I'm surprised no one really talks about it here. Anyway, I'll start it off. My favorite boxer right now is Manny Pacquiao. He's a slugger in the lower weights. What makes him dangerous is his combination of speed and power, not to mention he's very active and is relentless the whole fight. Manny's been fighting the best at the lower weights for some time now. He's beaten Barrera, Morales twice, and tied with Marquez. It's been accepted that he's the sport's best little man. He's rated number two on most people's pound for pound list, sometimes even number one on some.

we do just not that often. I think Mayweather is #1 on anyones pound for pound list who isnt crazy.

Nah, there's room for debate on that. Pound for pound list changes often. And while Mayweather is perhaps the most talented boxer right now, he hasnt proved his greatness recently. He hasnt fought as great a schedule as let's say Pacquiao or Wright. When people put someone like Pacquiao over Mayweather, it's because Pacquiao's fought harder opposition and has been successful at it.
