Apple VS Pc

Yeah.

Writing a dissertation on Mac is time waster. No customsing, no spell checker no nothing.

If you want to make pictures, movies, etc, Mac is great, but for other computer related activities - it is not.

Furhtermore, NOTHING is compatable with it. If something goes wrong, or you need a new cable, or a mouse, finding one compatable with Mac is a mission among missions. And some are simply not Mac supported.

Not a fan. Although PC has its cons, I believe it has more pros, than Mac.

I agree. Linux is the best platform, if you know how to use it.

I hate the way Macs are organized, there is no easy way to organize things and your desktop looks like a whorehouse. They entire company runs itself on the fact that its not a PC...if Apple hadn't invented the iPod, they'd be under....again. There are plenty of problems with tmacs. My professors macbook froze and destroyed itself during class on Wednesday.

Finding that power button may be hard for some users, thats why Macs spontaneuosly turn themselves on and off for you.

I prefer PC. I also prefer AMD over feckin Intel. Sucks for Intel that Microsoft optimized their now OS for AMD and ATI hardware.

I feel sorry for mac having to switch to Intel also. I at least had respect for them when they used the G5s

I don't understand youse people. Since I've started using Apple, I've come to the conclusion that Windows is a complete bunch of shit. Also, using the Mac OS is just so much fun compared to the laborious Windows.

That's because you're a fruitcake who can only handle a one button mouse. Can your little "Apple" handle the lesbian-bestiality-midget porn my PC can handle?.. Didn't think so.

Mac user instructions - press "on" button to turn on

I havent looked at the latest mac stuff, but does it still take them almost half a year to get current graphics cards that are mac compatible?

It's no secret that MACs are superior for somethings, such as film editing and the like.

That said, not having a second mouse button is fundementally broken as far as I'm concerned.

Plus, too many PC games don't come to Mac until later, and are very hard to find when they do come out.

Plus, I hate the MAC commercials.

Given the equal pricing basis, Mac's always do better when it comes to things like film editing(as is what backfire mentioned) and making 3d graphics. However, when applying said pricing basis, PC's always outperform the Mac's when it comes to gaming.

As for me, my personal preference is the PC, due to the greater flexibility that is had with desktop environments on a PC. One of the things I do like for the Mac is the dock that is available at the bottom. I love it so much that I actually have two of them on my windows XP. Here:

PC > Mac, 'nuff said.

Plus, tryign to build an Apple from scratch is f8ckign impossible. PC is easy, I built my last five or six PC's from scratch.

Right now, I use a crap PC that still uses Windows 98. My friend recently got a Mac. I fooled around with it a bit, and I must say that it is a little more fun to use than a PC. For my purposes now, a Mac would probably be better. Not sure about when I got to college though.

I will most likely be:

Majoring in Aerospace Engineering: Not sure which is better for this
Minoring in film: Mac is definitely better for this.

PC

I've seen a Mac crash for quite literally no reason. My PC always has a reason that I can correct for.

I personally, am a Mac person..
And the one mouse butten thing is a load of crap. You can buy mice with a second button and whatever you want, and it works just fine. Its what I did...
I wanted a mouse with my laptop anyway. And even then all you need to right click, is hit control and click instead.
Its not really a problem.

Might wanna get a good PC with Windows XP or something.

I have a PC with XP and one with 98.

The 98 is still faster (although admittedly it has no internet connection and no viruses on it)

Macs are nice, but really, I prefer PCs; Macs are just way too expensive and not customizable enough, and it's very hard to find games for them.

Of course, if I had stuck with my original major of graphic design, I'd probably be using a Mac almost exclusively now...

True.. Although I do love my Civ 4 on mac... Works well too.. So far no problems.
And I have the Wii to play games on! So I'm good in that department.
I also have customized my mac to my liking, you just have to be a bit more knowledgeable about what your doing...

What's all this about having only one button on my mouse? I've got 2(!) and a scroll thing in the middle. It's lovely, and it lights up blue. As for porn, I like it. Was that a question? No, but that was. No, not this...that.
