I've been to Alaska three times, the place truly amazes me. The best was when I was aboard a science research vessel for two weeks travelling from Juneau to Ketchikan.

im thinking its a trick question.
you bought an ostrich to ride on your 87 acres in alaska to where you are going to meet your awsome GF and then drive off in your new porsce to pick up the sanke that you had shipped in from Africa.

Sweet, why did you move?
I lived in Big Lake an hour away from Anchorage.

It's off the Turnagan Arm about 30 minutes from Anchorage. Aleyeska Ski Resort is there, and the train to Whittier passes through there as well.

Tidal Bores are in the Turnagain arm, one of only two places in the world where they occur. What happens is since the inlet is shaped like a huge long V, the tide rises creating a single continuous wave as the water's path narrows. It looks like this.
