Dont try and Dye youre hair black if it is blonde... it wont work. but the colour that came out was actually pretty cool its like purpl/gray/brown/blue... fun to have for a day but i would never want to keep my hair like this. thankfully it was only one of those hair dyes that alsts for 7 washes. haha and now i can always say ive dyed my hair gray.

If your hair is dark and you want to dye it light, you should use a bleach kit first, then use the dye of the color you want, especially if you are going for a bright orange or any vivid color for that matter.

My friend dyes my hair all the time, it's simple because it's dark.

Going light from dark can make **** ups more obvious, so I'd do a professional job in your case.
If you were blond going brunette it'd be way easier to do yourself.
