Jerry "The King" Lawler
The World Wrestling Entertainment website carries a brief item announcing that wrestler Jerry “The King” Lawler will “draw Superman for an upcoming project” set to appear on the DC Comics site.

Lawler, who’s described as “an accomplished artist” and “a lifelong Superman enthusiast,” has a gallery of his work (NSFW) on his own site. He has illustrated a children’s book, Mick Foley’s Christmas Chaos, by fellow wrestler Mick Foley.

All of that probably would mean more to me if I followed professional wrestling. I know Lawler’s name from his history with Andy Kaufman, but I had no idea he was still around. More interesting, I think, is the suggestion that DC may be pursuing original online content.

WWE.com promises more information from Lawler sometime this week.

Surprisingly, his site has some pretty decent artwork, still it doesn't show any sequential storytelling.

IMO it won't be good, and it won't be bad.

It will probably stay in the "grey" area.

I never knew that about Jerry. His stuff is actually pretty nice.

I wonder if he wears the crown when he does his art.

Looking through his artwork on his page is not bad but it looks something more for newspapers. Its good but not comic book good. Me personally i like the king, he is pretty funny sometimes but I wanna see a great artist in comics, not a good one. I tell u this though, If it happens, DC is gonna get a big a$$ exposure as im sure it will be announce on WWE RAW over and over again like that dreadful movie "See No Evil" and lastly im sure Vince McMahon being the evil genius that he is will try to get his wrestlers to appear on DC comics. I just hope is an Elseworld story, a one shot deal.

wwe been on dc back for a while now like wrestlers appearing on smallville and shit.
