I agree Thanos is more powerful and of course more cunning, but Hulk - especially World War Hulk - is the living definition of a Powerhouse.
The Hulk has the strength, durability and healing factor needed to give Thanos a hell of a fight. I really don't think Hulk will win lots of fights, but he'll give Thanos hell.

Thanos =his tech, tricks, allies, dirty game, prep time.
Without them = nothing special.
WWH would eat him alive.
Thanos has stalemated Warrior Madness Thor who was atleast 10 times stronger then normal. Now Hulk may be able to get stronger then that but I doubt we have seen the Hulk at that level. Now Thanos is far smarter then Hulk has tons more experience, Thanos also has tons more fighting skills he defeated the most dangerous Mercenary army in the universe. Thanos has owned Silver Surfer who is atleast equal to Hulk's durability. If nothing else he could more then likely drain the gamma radiation from Hulk.
