i doubt it since he's writing the story.
it's funny, i remember when they were doing that. early 90's in particular. they always have but, the subject was given new life. it was the begining of the modern age and they were pushing the story arch of racism in nearly all of the books. especially in marvel with the x-men (duh).

It might have to do with the fact that he 're-grew' from a babe's age. No reason for his accelerated aging to age him ALL the way to fourty, fifty, or sixty. Why not stop at twenty five? 😛.
(Yes, I'm aware that he looked much younger even before the baby incident. Don't care. That's my explanation, and Im sticking to it. )
