Books That You'd Like See As Films

Started by angelsoutfield3 pages

Well there is one coming up next week that I really can't wait to see. The book The Cure has been made into next Friday's Extraordinary Measures(the book is also based off a true story).

I read this book years ago and now that it's a movie I can't wait to check it out, plus my job has tons of promo material for the film since we are doing the campaign for CBS Films(we're a marketing company).

I'd like to see "Glory Road" by Robert Heinlein made into a movie. David Fincher or someone of his ilk could direct it, and have some really good screenwriter try to adapt all the internal monlogues.

World War Z. They're supposed to be making it now, I just hope it gets finished.

It's a fantasy. This guy goes around the universe fighting dragons and trolls and all that after he leaves the army. It's really good, especially the dialogue.

I'd say Cell by Stephen King. even though it would probably be the most disgusting film ever made.

Raptor Red by Robert T. Bakker would make an interesting movie.

Machiavellis Prince adapted as a guide for dictators or something like that.

anything by Roger Zelazny..

Abso-freaking-lutely.

Also the first few Sword of Truth books by Terry Goodkind (eventually the series started dragging on a bit... - but the first few books blew me away when I read them). There is a TV series about it, but it's total crap.

Dream Park, by Larry Niven and Steven Barnes.

Anything by David Gemmell, but specifically the Druss, Skilgannon and Waylander books.

Some of the Wild Card stories - preferably with Zelazny's characters in.

The Spenser books, by Robert B. Parker- specifically the ones with Hawk in (yeah, I know there are some old ones - but they weren't very good - and please don't allow Tom Selleck near the movies - he's not a very good Jesse Stone!)

SNOW CRASH by Neal Stephenson!!!!!!

They should redo Man on Fire by AJ Quinnell as well, and this time stay true to the book and not give it that wimp-out Hollywood ending.

Hmm, that's all for now... ;-)

Tarantino better make it then. Because other directors would make it horribe.

Just think, you could have had Eli Roth making it at one point.

I doubt it would. A genuine and true adaptation of American Psycho would completely destroy anything else in the disgusting stakes.

It would make Grotesque look like the Teletubbies.

True,Patrick was one creepy dude, they say he is one of the most popular killers in history, like Dexter Morgan.

I'm guessing Comics are allowed or is that only limited to the Comic book movies part of this place.

with they would get off their asses and make Tom Clancys Red Storm Rising and The Cardinal Of The Kremlin into movies. anybody else would like to see those novels made into films?

'Pretty Boy' by Roy Shaw.
