Besides, words doesnt mean anything in comics. Action is always superior to words. Cap also says "I have never fought one whom i was so even next to!". And Batman won in the end.

Now... Caps shield was a bigger factor than Batmans gadgets in their fight, as Batman barely used them, and nearly all Caps hits was placed with his shield.
