Iron Fist: "Gods! He blocked my punch!"
Cap: "That I did, Youngster. Like I said, you're good -- possibly as fine a martial artist as Mantis was -- but that's not good enough! "
And yet nothing in that fight indicated that Cap won. It was Iron Fist's own series and he was surprised that Cap was as good as he was. Danny didn't attempt any of his full body chi amping there and Cap had his shield.
W/ chi amping just no Iron Fist Cap wins.
W/o chi amping just MA prowess Cap wins cause he outlasts the others.
In that fight, Fist really didnt want to fight Cap. When he actually did start to fight, he was pulling his punches as stated. Fist wasnt going all out at all, while Cap was actually tring to whoop Fists ass.
When Fists finally used the iron fist technique, he had to strain and focus cause he already used it twice previously. If this were a actual fight where both were at 100%, the outcome may be different. Possibly.
Edit: Oh and Cap didnt catch Fists strike. He blocked it with the shield and still went through a bunch of metal and rubble. I dont think that fight should be a clear judge in whos win between the two.
I say Fist or Shiva then Cap.

He only held back in the beginning of the fight. If you recall he later stated he must try for Misty's sake. As he did strike and Captain America did indeed catch it, which was a hand strike. Look at the issue again.
Also yes Danny did use a strained IF technique...but he was no were from being helpless. Even "without" the IF technique he is dangerous and this one still had one within him. He went from holding back to using his most dangerous attack.
Plus lets not forget Danny even used sneak tactics to hiding/suprise attacking Captain America. As Cap did indeed have the upperhand.

He held back the entire fight. He stated for Misty's sake to keep trying to convince Cap that he wasnt the bad guy. Time was running out and the Wrecking Crew was coming. He did try to strike Cap, but he was still holding back.
Im not saying Fist was helpless, but he sure wasnt 100% like Cap was. True the iron fist is his most dangerous attack, but that particualar iron fist attack was a weakened one which tok alot out of Iron Fist to even execute.
Rand used sneak tactics? Ehh. I wouldnt quite call it that. Fist was waiting on Cap to come. It was Cap who knocked him over there to beging with. But he tried to get a sneak hit in either way. Its not like he planned to hide in the shadows and jump out at Cap. Its obvious Cap would have the upper hand considering a.) Fist didnt even want to fight and Cap did.
b.) Fist wasnt 100%.
