I dont think its the same as an item making you supreme(and mistaking the power as supreme),this is two beings,that were all that was, for the purpose of the story yes they were supreme
I dont care if its not canon,its a story that was brought up in a thread that has merit,people are going to use them in debates if they state Pre Retcon brothers,i dont think the thread will be closed

Powers/Abilities: Considering that the Brothers are the sum total of everything in the Marvel universe (and the rest of its multiverse-- see comments) and DC universe, they are incalculably powerful, and even such cosmic entities such as Eternity are like insects to them. The Living Tribunal, the most powerful being known in the Marvel Universe, was barely able to stall them, and was beneath their notice.

T, you can't debate something you don't read.
The Brothers did NOT release themselves.
The Brothers did NOT "de-fuse" or "de-emerge" or anything of the like.
Spectre, the Living Tribunal and Acces together released the Brothers safely.
This is right before the LT & Spectre release the Brothers:
"We're using it to Restore the Universes"
After the separation exactly One split down the middle of Two Realities.
Immediately afterwards:
"The Universe that was an Amalgam of Two Others blows apart"
"We're back to the Universes co-existing"
Had Access not helped, the Brothers would have been Obliterated:
"When it looked like the Universes would be Obliterated,
then the BUM helped me Jump someplace IN-BETWEEN"
