for defying Hindu wedding customes...wow.

what do you all think, and u don't have to be politically correct, pls, just say what you think:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20070410/en_afp/afpentertainmentindiabritainmarriagehurley

"The petition was filed under section 295 A of the Indian Penal Code, which makes it an offence punishable by three years in jail to "outrage" any group's religion with "deliberate and malicious intention."

Where is the malicious intention?

they take offense to those things...when it comes to "ritualistic" culture, every dot and diddle means something to someone and it could be TRANSLATED as offensive, even when no offense is meant by the act.

Nothing will come of this... Hurley will probably publicly apologize and make some statement like she 'truly loves and respects Hinduism' and that will be that. It's not like a unit of crack Indian commandos is going to storm her place of residence and napsack her back to India.

that was on another thread, silly. unlike SOME people, i don't take arguments to heart, i take your side and think about it, and if i disagree, i express myself...now, i do not hold grudges, just b/c i ignore you in one thread doesn't mean i will ignore you in all threads. 🙂 in other words, in that other thread or room, i am ignoring your comments.

😂 yeah, why not?

...😬

you're immature, would you like me to ignore all of your comments, and if you felt that i was ignoring you in EVERY thread, why did you respond, isn't that a bit trollish on your part?

I wish you'd get banned. Bloody waste of space.

thats nuttier than a squirrels refrigerator

and there the thread died.,

She's wayy too hott for that..why would they arrest that beautiful creature ?

lol This thread is the battle of the Socks.

And yet many of you people bash gays for wanting to get married.

You're the same as the people who arrested this woman.

There can be only one solution - Elizabeth Hurley should be delivered to my door, tied up, gagged and NAKED.

I will then administer suitable punishment...

LOL

Arun Nayar should have known better. He's hindu and should have known that you can't have alcohol before, during a hindu wedding ceremony. You can't be kissing by the ceremonial fire. HEck you are not even supposed to see each other two weeks before the wedding. ( lol which is why I am having my hindu wedding ceremony first and then the christian ceremony afterwards)

If they wanted to have a hindu ceremony, then they should have done it properly, not some half ass quickie.

As for going to jail, thats taking it TO THE EXTREME. THey were stupid not to follow custom, but not stupid enough to go to jail for it.

"They sat on a sofa and they were supposed to sit on the floor," Khandelwal added.

Clearly jailtime is warranted.

**** Hindu customs, what a bunch of bullshit.
