look at the strange respect thread. He seemingly takes them all out by a spell that makes all of them be bombarded with a false mental **** illusion of some sort with a person of their past etc.
and it's no fair to say strange is a PIS machine. I mean, what exactly is the nature of magic; the sorceror supreme's magic? It's not really definable yet. Magic is universally like that, comics or not.

Its just an illusion. Far lesser than him have accomplished the same thing. If he was still such a PIS machine he could have cured Wong's cancer himself or teleported the team to Japan.
