USH'S MATRIX GAME 2006 FOURTH ASSIGNMENT (COMBAT)- 'The Real'

No matter what you do you trade speed for safety.

I vote the safer way. If we came in fast and they fumbled their jump, that could lead to some serious falling action, or us having to make another pass which could take a very long time...

Besides, only three people have Abundant Leaping- Heph, Berserker, and Azrael. That leaves Melkor, Klez, Sirin, and Helios in the lurch, especially since any of those three could drop (and Azrael's not fully available anyways).

I agree that the safer way seems best. With people trying to jump aboard without AL, it could turn into a disaster. With us going slowly, we can help to hold off the enemy while we give them time to get aboard.

Ok, you guys are coming in slowly for a measured landing. This rules out doing any strafing work, incidentally.

Well, I vote that everyone with guns be ready to open fire.

...

Damnit, we should have had Melis pilot instead of Burn...

Ares ready to shoot away, then!

Of course this is the one time that Mors decides he does not want to carry a gun...

Typical.

I know, right?

We may have to disembark to help them, possibly.

Can I shoot out the pilot window? or does that not work?
If I can't do that, can Mors pick up my gun that I am not using? It should still be in the duffel bag.

Ok, you guys join the action at the start of turn 5. Here is how it looks:

Melkor is blasting aweay at one door surrounded by spiders (that you will soon discover contains a harrassed Berserker, Hph, Azrael and Helios) whilst Sirin and Klez are trying to stop spiders swarming onto the walls- and hence your landing area- from another doorway. Despite all this, spiders are generally arriiving on the walls from other locations.

Burn- no, you're going to be very busy. Everyone has to go as is.

Ares fires at the spiders by Melkor, taking down two at a range with bursts from his MAC10.

Are we low enough for Cloud to jump out and attack any spiders?

Literally speaking yes. Actually speaking, only if you've lost the will to live, an enigmatic statement I invite people to ponder.

Situation at turn 5. You will be able to land at turn 7. Heph and Berserker have emerged into the open!

In that case, I'll wait until we're a little lower down.

I think Ush means we'd probably be torn a new one by the spiders and not have a very decent opportunity to get back on...

I'm going to assume that Sirin and Klez have things down in their area...

Ares will fire at the spiders by Melkor and the sloping door, putting off bursts at two.

Unfortunately San's not quite feeling suicidal at the moment and thus will not be making a flying leap of knifey death...

I say anyone with a gun that's not otherwise busy (aka piloting) should be opening fire on those spiders.
