As far as initiating the confrontation. Hulk asked for Professor X to submit to being murdered and the X-men stepped in. Thats hardly the X-men initiating the confrontation.

the "incredible" adjective in the hulk title is as meaningless as the "invincible" in iron man's, the "immortal" in iron fist's, the "amazing," "spectacular" and "sensational" in spider-man's, the "uncanny" and "astonishing" in the x-men's, and every other adjective in every other title out there. it's a sparkling word to make the title seem more intriguing. also, a comic named "hulk" would be a lot duller of a title than "iron man," "iron fist," "x-men," etc.

the "infinity of power" quotation's been a strong point of debate in the last month on the board. that's not news. it's also nothing to take much interest in.

also, hulk's complete lack of reason in attacking the x-men isn't based on anything he beat out of blackbolt. it's based around the idea that the x-men titles are consistently the highest grossing in sales, the most appealing to the widest age range, and the semi-separate portion of the marvel universe that editors and creative minds in the bullpen like to fit into the rest in every crossover. the mini's going to end with hulk yelling at quesada and marts for painting him as an *******.

sentry's entire house got ****ed up in the fight with iron man. what if lindy was in there? what if hulk's rampage after losing his wife cost his friend [arguably] his wife as well? what if that's the big ending to WWH? not a slugfest, but a "you've become the person you hated most" kind of moment. bleh.

yeah, i know, sentry was off doing whatever in some cabin when the president called him. but still. the watchtower fell through a building some hundred stories.
