I think they could had been more creative with the newer star wars titles.The Revenge of the sith is ok name.But it could had been better with a name like "The end of the Jedis or something close to that name.jm

Which sounds rather lame. All in all, I kinda like the titles. They have that old 50s feeling that Lucas was so adamant about since he started writing SW in the early 70s.

I think he could have done worse.

I think The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones and a New Hope are the weakest titles of the films (although if we consider New Hope as simply Star Wars, I am happy), they still have that 50's B-movie ring to them, but they just aren't as catchy as Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi or Revenge of the Sith.

Not sure if I ever posted this...I have the Cinescape magazine from Nov/Dec 1997 with the headline "The Next Star Wars" talking about the first prequel.

It was pretty exciting looking at these names and imgaining what was to come.

Rumoured titles floating around at that time were - Star Wars:

Jedi Squad
Balance of the Force
Rise of the Empire
The Clone Wars
The Way of the Force
Genesis

Jedi Squad??? Sounds like a badly conceived tv series.

Jedi Squad badly conceived TV series, queeq, you must be out of your mind, this TV show would rock, it would be like buddy-buddy cop theme, only in this case Jedi-Jedi buddy, it would start Mace Windu(because every show needs a black guy) and Kit Fisto, a cop(Jedi), who is charming and has a great smile, you know, good with the ladies.
It would be like bad Jedi, good Jedi.
