PH's thread of the routine dental "ow"S!

My turn to go to the dentist...but not for braces. I need to get a tooth examined and possibly extracted. It's been killing me since Friday morning and has been keeping me awake at night if I don't load myself up with meds. The pain goes from my tooth all the way to my forehead. Just wanna get it taken care of even though I can't pay for the dentist.

Goodluck with that, I've had a tooth pulled, it wasn't that bad, just a lot of blood.

I get to go tomorrow at 1:15pm. I haven't had to go to the dentist in quite a long while. This is a major blow to my wallet too, since I am out of work for the time being I have no money and have to ask the parents to front the cash for me.

Damn, that sucks. Dentist costs aren't too bad here but it'll still make a dent in your wallet.

The quote I received isn't too awfully bad (about $180, plus whatever cost for the anesthetic), but it's bad enough when you have $15 to your name.

Geez, I have to times that amount by 6-7 to get it in my currency and that is a crap load.

$180 here is about a weeks pay for a low paying job.

Geez! Well South Africa is very bad when it comes to finding jobs and job quality, so I guess that explains a bit.
