OMG Cory you are the stupidest guy ever! Windu is dead, he got his hand cut off, got a full shock of sith lightnign and blown away through the window of an enourmus building. Even if he did land on something soft he would have died, and even in the very slim posibility he survived Mace would have died from old age by the time of this "episode IX."

Ah, on a logical note, Mace is dead because people can't take
their hands being cut(he would've survived just that, provided that was the only thing that happened to him),
being eletrocuted by, i have no idea how much volts that was (he would've probably survived that alone, and with the hand, though with the hand he probably could live through it, but would probably be incapacitated.)
and being shot off a floor of a building more than maybe 50 feet above ground or more (dead, immediately, normal person, him probably could survive with machinery help, or die immediately.)
combine all three for Mace, or for any Jedi, for anyone alive, ah, sure death.

As long as I get my point across. Mace is alive and nearly died, but survived the fall and the Jedi purge. He will return for Episode 7. I'm banking on it. So will Boba Fett. Remember, Yoda lived to be 877 years old when he died in Return of the Jedi. Mace is suppose to be old because The Fallen Hero takes place 30 or 40 years after Episode VI-ROTJ.
Mace is human (or so we think) and Yoda isn't, thus the huge age difference Cory.
I don't see how Mace couldn't come back. Sure it would be unlikely, but its somewhat plausible. He actually wasn't shown dead on screen, the last we saw was him screaming, then making an "umph" like noise when he was thrown out of the broken window. His survival is unlikely, but he is a Jedi Master, you never know for sure. Until George Lucas talks about this, we won't know for sure what happened to Mace, or his pretty lightsaber, until then, I suppose we can pretty much assume he is dead.
Defenseless, Windu was bombarded with Sith lightning as Sidious unleashed a torrent of deadly energy at the Jedi Master. The forked bolts of lightning penetrated Mace's body, illuminating his form from within. The final blast bodily lifted him into the air, sending his form hurling into the Coruscant skies, to crash lifelessly somewhere in the vast cityscape below.

Thats not true Sweersa Luke Skywalker dies of old age many years after Episode IX-Victory of the Force. Age is meaning-less in the Star Wars galaxy. Time in the Star Wars galaxy is different compered to our galaxy. An hour on earth could be a 100 years in the Star Wars galaxy. Remember what Yoda told Luke in Return of the Jedi about when Luke reached 900 years. Mace can live many years.
