wait a second...The bible has passages about watching pornography?
I understand the prevalence of eroticism in early human civilization, but I think that may be a little presumptuous of you. Does the bible mention pornography by name? or is it just the anti-sex wing of the church you are imitating?
You know that it does not say it by name. But it does have a page where it does say it is a sin. If you know your bible Goddess you would know that it says nothing in the ten commands about porn but I guess yu should do more on your reseach before answearing anything.jm 🙄

Hahaha! That will be in the updated version, 2007.
You didn't recieve the New Edition of the Bible ?
It's been printed everywhere !
12th Commandment:
"Thou shalt not be Gay or Lesbian"
13th Commandment:
"Thou shalt not be Buddhist"
14th Commandment:
"Thou shalt vote Republican"
15th Commandment"
"Thou shalt not have Abortions, Vote for Gay Marriage, use birth control, or have any fun at all"
I had no idea
I just know that the concept of pornography as a thing is attached to the industry, and aside from erotic literature (which would have a lot of trouble being successful in a time when most people were illiterate) or drawings, there was probably no formalized "pornography" so to speak of.
What does it say about porn? Honestly, I don't know the bible. At the very least it should paint a better picture of how the common man got off 2 thousand years ago.

If God created me, and is all knowing, IE knew what I would believe, why did he create me in the first place? Does he love seeing people go to hell? That's not very loving is it? Or is there something else to it like the devil making us sinners. After all, he made Adam sin, and we are descendants of Adam. But lets not over think this too soon.Simply, why did God create sinners?
I don't believe God knows what paths we will choose, or else he wouldn't have given us free will. Our lives are always subject to change by the actions which we choose (right or wrong). God doesn't create us to go to hell. He creates us with the hope that we will choose his path to eternal life, however we can deter from this path at anytime without Gods control.

however, if god is all knowing then how can he not know the paths we will choose?

I don't think he does. I think he creates us with initiative, logic, reason free will, hope, dismay, anger etc and I think he knows all the possible routes that we could take in our lives, but the route that we choose depends on our own decisions. I think he hopes us to make the best of what he has given us.

fair enough
that just seems to fly in the face of the 3 O god that is always mentioned when non-religious folk talk about religion
its good you have a much more rational view of the issue
Originally posted by inimalistYea lol. I want to believe that what we read in the bible is not the drect word of God, and is more "word of mouth" as it were. I mean seeing as I am bisexual and have no control over the feelings I have for people I believe God created me this way. But I don't want to believe that he wants be to deny myself the homosexual feelings just so I can have an eternal life in heaven and not go to hell.

He does not send anyone to hell.It is the person's choice to go to heaven or hell.If the person is without sin or live there life following God you are most likly going to heaven.
If they are sinful or do stuff that are inmoral then they would go to hell.It is your soul that goes to those places not the body.JM

Does people have to watch porn?No it is self control. Most know it is a sin But does it anyway. We do have free will to do what we want.We just need to know how to control our urges.jm
