Best Music Producer

Who do you think is the best music producer, or the most under/overrated producer? Also, if a song is good enough, does it really matter how well it's produced, so long as you can hear it?

Butch Vig - Garbage were amazing. You'd find a number of different production styles jammed together all in one song, making for some pretty dynamic sounding stuff...

particulary Slave To The Rythmn by Grace Jones and his FGTH 12" mixes.

Rick Rubin, hands down.

rick rubin and steve albini are pretty much legendary (even though albini makes everything sound kind of the same).

I think Nigel Godrich is pretty good
