I'm in a lot of trouble

I just realised I don't have a key to open up the shop I work at tomorrow. I switched shifts with someone and agreed to open up. I was supposed to be working last night and obviously would pick up the key then. But the manager called and asked if I could cover a shift at another branch and I agreed. But it slipped my mind that I had no key to open the shop.

So tomorrow the shop won't be open, the next 2 guys that come to work will have left the keys in the shop and won't be able to get in. My mobile and SIM card aren't working so I have no way of contacting the manager. The store won't be open until at least 5 pm tomorrow when it's supposed to open at 10am.

I'm going to be responsible for the company losing thousands of pounds and will probably be sacked.

Just thought I'd share that.

Break the mutha****in door down.

Sometimes things work out on there own, maybe your panicking for nothing. I wouldn't freak out over it. Just try to stay calm, maybe your mobile or SIM will come around and you can solve the problem. Besides, you were doing people at your work favors and that's why you forgot. I'm sure if you explain they will have a little bit of compassion.

And even if you do get fired (which I doubt will be the case) you can find another job. Your a nice, funny guy. People like that. =]

I am going to cost them a LOT of money and customers. And my phone hasn't worked in over a month. I'm getting shitcanned tomorrow, no doubt.

I'll definitely get fired for that.

Well, your good at your job aren't you?
If your capable, I'm sure you could find another job. You'll probably like it better too!

Everything happens for a reason?

Thanks for the words of comfort but I really like working there, the people I work with are so cool. But it's not up to them, not even up to the manager to be honest. The district manager will see our money loss and he's a right pr*ck.

Well maybe you'll have the privilege of working with them again some day. I am so sorry this had to happen to you. If there was anything I could do I would...

I know I can't say much, but maybe you'll get ahold of somebody before five. If you can't open on time, it's a shame. But if you can find somebody who can get ahold of whoever can open it (which is possible) you might not loose your job.

Don't give up. =[

Don't worry, God will help you.

Play dumb. If the manager knew you were supposed to switch shifts, then made you work somewhere else, he should have figured out that the key would have to be given to someone else.

The manager didn't know about it, unfortunately.

Who's your employer?

I work for Threshers, an Off-license company.

The time to open the store is getting closer, I'm so worried nuts

Start panicking! 😱

No, I bet a miracle will happen and it will all be good. And if not, put it this way, five years from now it won't matter. 😉

😂

True enough but I like my job.

Call a locksmith in, they get the job done in minutes.
Obviously with company id etc.

I was panicking for nothing, I forgot Tuesday was delivery day, so the manager was coming to open up in the morning anyway.
