I just realised I don't have a key to open up the shop I work at tomorrow. I switched shifts with someone and agreed to open up. I was supposed to be working last night and obviously would pick up the key then. But the manager called and asked if I could cover a shift at another branch and I agreed. But it slipped my mind that I had no key to open the shop.So tomorrow the shop won't be open, the next 2 guys that come to work will have left the keys in the shop and won't be able to get in. My mobile and SIM card aren't working so I have no way of contacting the manager. The store won't be open until at least 5 pm tomorrow when it's supposed to open at 10am.
I'm going to be responsible for the company losing thousands of pounds and will probably be sacked.
Just thought I'd share that.

Play dumb. If the manager knew you were supposed to switch shifts, then made you work somewhere else, he should have figured out that the key would have to be given to someone else.

The manager didn't know about it, unfortunately.
