I read the book as well and it's probably the most graphic book I have ever read.

I read Stephen King all the time so I'm used to graphic descriptions but Ellis blew my mind.

Yeah, I'd call Ellis depraved but he's a writer and it's his job to be creative. Personally my favorite novel of his is The Rules of Attraction which turned out to be a kind of crappy movie.

I agree, Rules of Attraction sucked.

I had never read Ellis before I read American Psycho though, I wasn't sickened by what he wrote, I was just like "Wow..." after reading some of the stuff in Psycho.

Excellent book though. 👆

i thought rules of attraction was reasonable but suffered from really bad casting. not one person in it was convincing

less than zero was a reasonable attempt at a ellis film though

and i seriously hope someone makes lunar park cause the last few chapters are phenomenal

I love American Psycho. It made me become a fan of Christian Bale. I love, "There is a moment of sheer panic when I realise Pauls apartment overlooks the park... and is obviously more expensive than mine." I think I'll try and get hold of the book.

I just watched American Psycho last night. Really good movie. Hilarious stuff.

Rules of Attraction...yeah, it's a pile of shit.

After reading this thread I might have to check out some of Ellis' other writing

my favourite scene is where bale looks at the cash machine and on the screen it says feed me the cat.
