Yeah. I actually put the book down at some points to take a deep breath. The movie isn't anywhere near what Bret Easton Ellis can get your mind to conjure up.Good movie though.
I read the book as well and it's probably the most graphic book I have ever read.
I read Stephen King all the time so I'm used to graphic descriptions but Ellis blew my mind.

Yeah, I'd call Ellis depraved but he's a writer and it's his job to be creative. Personally my favorite novel of his is The Rules of Attraction which turned out to be a kind of crappy movie.

I agree, Rules of Attraction sucked.
I had never read Ellis before I read American Psycho though, I wasn't sickened by what he wrote, I was just like "Wow..." after reading some of the stuff in Psycho.
Excellent book though. 👆

I love American Psycho. It made me become a fan of Christian Bale. I love, "There is a moment of sheer panic when I realise Pauls apartment overlooks the park... and is obviously more expensive than mine." I think I'll try and get hold of the book.
Another great line is;
"Marcus and I even go to the same barber, although I have a slightly better haircut."
😂
